Lots of rain

We have been getting so much stinkin rain it has become annoying.  But then the fact that the girls don't mind it at all, so much that they requested their breakfast in the playroom window to watch the rain, makes me think a little more differently about the view.  And then when they talk about how all"... the birds, trees, grass, and flowers must have been so thirsty!  so Jesus made lots of rain for them..."  I remember how that's what we taught them; when they were so little and asked 'why does it rain?' we told them because that is how God takes care of his earth.  In short, God provides for every need, right?  I forget so easily the simple and complex truths.  And I see his loving reminders through these 2 little beauties often.  I want to sit and watch, with a front row seat, to his provisions more often.
Matthew 6:19-34 is good for my sould today.  Verses 33-34 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteouness, and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

  1. KA sent me over to see your blog. So glad she has a friend like you for support. (I only know her via blogging, but have kept her family in constant prayer since first learning about Scarlette.)

I love this post - your girls watching the rain. Sometimes our children really keep us in line, don't they? - reminding us to appreciate the simple things!

Enjoy your front row seat! Happy weekend! ~Sally

  2. What a great friend you have been to KA, so we are returning some blog love to you today! :)

also, thanks for the reminder of what good God is doing in our lives!

  3. Came over from KA's blog. Love the pictures - adorable.

  4. I, too, was sent by kA. So thankful she has you in her life. Love the view from your window, I'd never get anything else done! You have a lovely family.

  5. KA sent me to say "hi" - how lucky you both are to have each other! And isn't the blogging world wonderful?

  6. Visiting from KA! Love your blog and LOVE that quote about motherhood. Another of my favorites "The mother's heart is the child's schoolroom." So true.
