'Falling off' and 'Drinking the Water'

3 months.  That is about how long it's been since I've been 'here'.  Hellooo?  Anyone out there?  I think I hear my voice echoing...

I fell off the wagon and I wasn't even on it for long!  Ah well, that is what happens when spring time rolls around, school is out, and before you know it June has come-and almost gone.

Actually, one thing that will keep us literally busy and lazy, all at the same time, is the fact that we are expecting our newest and third little love, early December:)  {Apparently I drank some of that water everyone was getting}  We are so excited.  But that first trimester kept me out of my norm,{as much as could happen with 2 little girls needing me to stick to some routine}, but in the last month I have felt myself again-thank goodness-just in time for school to be out and the crazy month of June we have had-to begin!  And it will go out with a bang, as we will be spending a long week in Florida with family.  We can't wait; I already do not want to come back!

Also, now thanks to Kayla and her little crash here, we all know I have had a birthday:)  Thanks Kayla-it was a nice (gentle, of course) kick in the pants to get back onto this documentation of occasions in my life!  So with gratitude to her, I will leave you with a few documents of our life together:

 First, we have Kayla asking me if her duct tape is showing

Next, we have her contemplating something.  I am not sure what exactly; perhaps her dance moves                 during the reception?  Oh wait, that couldn't be it-it was in a Baptist church

And finally, here she is at her bridal shower.  Is she going to bake something or beat me with that thing?  Stop looking at me like that!

Friday already?!

Did this week go by ridiculously fast for anyone else?!  I really can't believe it's already another weekend.  The weather is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend and we have a little outdoor birthday party to take the girls to.  It's also April and that just makes me happy-April and May are really pleasant months, aren't they?

I was looking for a little something to do with the girls next week b/c it's spring break here-yay!  And remembered this in my 'idea folder'-

Aren't these so cute?  I saw them on Ohdeedoh a while back as a party favor/centerpiece idea-using a paper cup, a sock, and a flower.  I think we would love to have these in our kitchen window:)

Have a great weekend!

Tells us that springtime has begun;
For budding flower and busy bee,
Dear God, we give our thanks to Thee."

Happy Weekend

It's Friday and something crazy is happening this weekend:  We. have. nothing. planned.  There is not one thing written on my calendar{so I am praying I have not forgotten something}.  Not anything to be on time to, well other than church, and nothing to schedule naps and meals around.  I feel like I am cheating or something.

So I will enjoy just hanging around with my favorites:)  And hope that I do not wake up on Monday with a sinking feeling of "crap. I cannot believe I forgot about xyz."

I hope you enjoy your weekend too, whether it's a busy one or a lazy one:)

A spring fling

The first official day of spring was Sunday, yessss.  And the weather around here has been getting so nice during some of the days,(70's and even the 80's), that much is blooming{although our grass is still brown&crispy}.  And we have had a lot more playtime outside to enjoy.

And we also made the most of the rainy day of the week with a paper bird making afternoon.  The girls bedroom has had paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling since December and it was about time for the winter to come down and put some spring up:)

We think our birds turned out lovely.  They drew on a few of them but my camera doesn't pick up details like that;)

Happy Wednesday and here's to:

  • messy bedrooms & unedited photos
  • warmer weather to stay
  • green, soft grass
  • and {dare I say} cleaning house?{!}
